Cultural Competency Training

Cultural Competency Training at Kofi Habla grew from countless moments where a simple shift in understanding changed an entire encounter. We design interactive workshops for clinics, law offices, community organizations, and agencies that want to serve multilingual communities with more respect and clarity.

Rather than theory-heavy lectures, we share real stories from medical rooms, immigration interviews, and community visits: the unspoken meanings behind a hesitant "yes," why eye contact can be read so differently, how family roles shape decision‑making, and what trauma or migration history can do to trust.

Participants practice practical communication strategies-how to work effectively with interpreters, ask questions in plain language, and create space for clients to share sensitive information safely. Many teams leave saying, "Now I understand why that visit felt so tense," and feel better equipped for the next one.

The result is more than fewer misunderstandings. It is a service environment where patients and clients feel seen, not judged, and where staff feel confident navigating cultural differences with kindness.
